I'm planing a stopover in Tahiti next time I take my girl to Hong Kong, starting RTW from Brazil:
GRU/MIA/LAX (UA)
LAX/PPT (NZ)
***stopover in PPT***
PPT/AKL/HKG (NZ)
***stopover in HKG***
HKG/DEL/LHR (UA)
***stopover in LHR***
LHR/JFK/GRU (UA)
Is this route ok? I dont want to take LHR/GRU on RG because of 100% bonus on UA, but then I'm not sure about landing in US twice...
Btw, anyone can help me calculate the mileage? UA and NZ sites show different mileage for same flights (yes, I've checked and NZ is not using Km). Also, I don't know if UA considers HKG/DEL/LHR or HKG/LHR for miles.

UA have had (and probably still do)a LHR-EZE flight via JFK but with a single flight number that would solve any problem of having a ticket stopping twice in the USA(I don't know if that is allowed or not) and perhaps save you some miles as well if LHR-EZE-GRU is less than LHR-JFK-GRU

Re: HKG-DEL-LHR, UA treat it as 2 sectors, HKG-DEL and DEL-LHR as HKG-LHR is not a legal routing on UA (they do not have traffic rights), you may need to check if it is legal for you to do HKG-DEL-LHR within the context of that trip, it likely is as it is a RTW fare, but be careful.
I am doing it myself, but am allowed to transit DEL as UA has rights from oz->lhr and I am originating my trip in oz on that day.
