It is still 4 with AC but I think that is about to change.
It may be unlimited on UA (but then you can only book up to 8 segments on their booking engine without going to an agent) but there is that problem when you are using other carriers.
Given some problems related to e-tickets in other countries, I prefer to have a paper ticket when travelling abroad.

AC*SE-- Yes, I was making reference to the newer mileage limited RWSTAR fares. I dont have experience with the dual carrier RTWs.
Regarding the minimum travel days, its my experience that the local sales office where you ticket can make exceptions. Ive broken the mileage limited RWSTAR 10 day minimum travel time rule various times, it just takes a call from the travel agent to the *A office that's issuing the itinerary.

some airlines can be flexible on this restriction if you first segment is with the airline who issued the tkt...i know for OW RTW, if u start your trip with CX and issue your tkt with CX, cx can fake your start date to bend the 10 dy rule...i.e. pretend u leave 3 days earlier on the tkt but issu u the boarding pass of today....u need to check with (eg UA) if they could do this for u
