I have no url for it but I can scan it and mail or fax it too you.
The stuff about using it with International C
is just annoying since with that you don't need a status card for the lounges.

The LH site says
Use of the worldwide Lufthansa Frequent Traveller and Business Class Lounges in combination with a Lufthansa flight.
Use of the Star Alliance Lounges on day of travel and in connection with a Star Alliance First or Business Class ticket.
http://www.lufthansa.com/fly/en/mam/...avel_card.html
Perhaps that is why the confusion?

Whoever is willing to post the passage from the guide on their website I will be happy to
fax it to them.
Anyhow holding C-Boardingpass having or not having *silver makes zero difference for
lounge entry.

But Rudi,
35K on AC is 28K in paid J miles, which is still a better deal (appr. 60% of the cost) than 46K miles in paid C on LH--even if membership does last two years.
The one advantage of SEN over AC*E would be reciprocal upgrading on UA--however, I suspect that AC and UA will converge on that issue in order to formalize the practices that already exist on their codeshares.

I am not sure. To get two years with AC you must make twice 28'000 in paid J = 56'000 (compared with one-time 46'000 in paid C with LH). And, at least starting in Switzerland, LH transatlantic-fares are way below AC fares (and you can upgrade on any fares with LH miles on LH flights).

OK, one thing strikes me: they talk of the Lufthansa Frequent Traveller Chip Card. They stopped doing that maybe two years ago. So now my question is: what's the date on your letter? Maybe it is something from the past?

As i wrote earlier this is from my first
guide book I received as a FTL, and I was never explicitely told things changed to the
worse.
And there are still valid ChipCards out there!

I have here aprinted german/english directory: 'Das Lufthansa Lounge-Verzeichnis' 'The Lufthansa Lounge Directory' in my hands. Printed in Germany 11/99 FRA-EC/C, FRA EH.
page 26 ff: 'LoungeVerzeichnis fr Frequent Traveller, Lounge Directory for Frequent Traveller'. 59 Airports (from Abu Dhabi with the Pearl Lounge to Vienna) with access for LH Frequent Fliers to 1-3 lounges are listed. Not one of these lounges is a SAS or a UA-RCC lounge. North American Lounges accessible for LH Frequent Fliers listed are: Boston (LH Business Lounge, term E), Houston (LH Frequent Traveller Lounge), JFK (LH Business Lounge, term 1). Not one lounge in SAS home countries (Scandinavia) is on the list.

Don't the rules change every year? (or every two with LH?)
It would seem if this was a few years old then it would not apply and the new member guide would supercede this.
I had trouble with Peter's link so posted it here:

I suppose you got the new rules with the booklet "Status has its own privileges", September 2000 issue (the one with the new FTL and SEN Executive bonus). These are the current rules. And the Lounge directory Rudi mentioned is the new one. But there might be something new coming out because in Exclusive 12/2000 on page 5 they say "Mehr ber das Lounge-Angebot bei Lufthansa und im Verbund der Star Alliance in der nchsten Ausgabe" (More on LH and Star Alliance lounges in the next edition).

Of course you are right Curt, you probably won't get into an RCC, but want bugs me is that until now they never really told us things have changed, I read the notice in the Exclusive too, but so far nothing has been told.
