going for a 2nd program?
I am easily Super Elite on AC again this year.
I have an RTW coming up in biz. class, STAR1 (thanks for the help Rudi!).
Should I put these miles to a 2nd program to achieve 'mid-level' status or put them to AC and get an extra 30k miles?
Most of my travels are trans-Atlantic and throughout North America.

Depends who you will be flying on next year. Might be useful to have UA elite levels if you are doing U.S. flying otherwise I would target Lufthansa (more likely to get Elite status anyway plus it lasts 2? years)

If you are like me I am sure you don't need "more miles". They accumulate faster than breeding rabbits
Ability to use upgrades on UA would be a bonus although I would still try to avoid UA wherever possible.

I'd consider LH ... if you fly biz or first a lot. Counting class bonuses (+100% biz, +200% F) as status miles, too, you'll get Elite faster than any other FF programm.
Just came back from LAX (to Germany) - flying F that got me some 35.000 miles.
Even segments in biz or F count twice.
