Seperate Tickets
I am looking to book Amsterdam to Del. The cheapest option is AMS to FRA on LH and then FRA to DEL on AI.
I am unable to price the same on AI, although they have a codeshare, if I book the two tickets separately, would LH tag my bags all the way to DEL on the AI flight.
Also where would I cross immigration AMS or FRA?
The flight connection time between the flights is 1.5 hours. Is it too short for a FRA connection on seperate tickets?
Thanks

They would check your bags through, you would pass through immigration in FRA.
1.5h for connecting T1 to T1 in FRA should be doable, though I personally wouldn't risk it on separate tickets.
Edit: just saw Simon1 beat me to it...

This.
Again, if your first flight is delayed for any reason, or there's a delay getting to your next flight, you forfeit that flight entirely, and then you're looking at paying again, for a same-day fare, that could be a lot pricier than this fare. Myself, I wouldn't do this no matter what the difference in fares is. Is there not at least a much later flight you could take?

Thanks, AI isn't able to see any economy seats on the AMS FRA segment, leaving me with two choices
1) Buy the desperate tickets maybe have a longer layover in FRA - how much time is a safe for such a connection?
2) Travel from train from AMS to FRA airport. Should I assume trains would be running on time? And is reaching 2 hours safe in such a case?
Thanks for your help

Separate tickets with a longer layover should work fine. How long the layover should be depends on your risk tolerance. I would recommend booking an early enough ticket that you have enough time to be rerouted AMS-MUC-FRA or AMS-ZRH-FRA if necessary.
