TSN/PEK to NYC, who to fly with?

I am hoping for September/October of 2015. I got the EWR China awards in CX biz for three. I just need two for the return. I never suspected it would be this hard to use my UA miles...

Looks like every Tuesday in September has Saver Awards. October is too far out I believe for things to be loaded. I would venture a guess that if you look in another month or too there may be things better loaded into September.

Are you suggesting that I book now and just hope that something opens up down the road?
Right now here's the itinerary/plan...
Person 1: EWR-HKG-PVG on CX / PEK - NYC (somehow with UA miles)
Person 2: EWR-HKG-PVG on CX / PEK - NYC (somehow with UA miles)
Person 3: EWR-HKG-PVG on CX / PEK-SIN-FRA (with SQ miles)
Timing is in and out by end of September, or in in mid October. I would like to avoid the national holiday on the week of and few days after Oct 1.
Three people are on the EWR-HKG-PVG segment together, and the first two are returning to the US together. I have no worries about CX business awards or SQ awards.

I ended up booking PEK-ICN-JFK with an overnight in ICN. PEK-TPE-JFK would have been wonderful but I have to finalize my travel schedule as early as possible due to work and that PEK-ICN-JFK was the only thing with two awards seats available near my desired time. Thank you all for your help!
