Sharing *G perks

Hi everyone,

To what extent is it possible to share *G perks with Mrs. hamdoc when we are traveling together? I know lounge access is no problem, but what about the rest of the benefits?

Thanks in advance.

I believe it depends on the airline you are flying and certainly if you are on the same record locator.

You can both use priority checkin, and will get priority baggage handling.
Lounge access for both. What other benefits do you want?

Sharing *G perks

On an intra Europe flight on Lufthansa the check in agent gave my GF and I a full set of three seats and said because of my gold status the middle seat would remain open. Not a published perk, maybe not even a LH perk but it certainly made me feel a bit special!

On Air Canada there are special seats reserved for their elites but apparently *G can snag them too. Unfortunately my Tango fare didn't come with seat selection...

It's probably within 24 hours of departure that you can choose the elite seats. My guess.

I'm also curious about priority boarding and the excess baggage allowance.

Interesting, thanks! Were you able to snag other *G benefits too?

Yes, definitely! Priority checkin, boarding, free checked bags and loads of lounge access. The Senator lounge in FRA was phenomenal. Perfect for the 6hr layover we had. Self serve alcohol AND a manned bar with signature drinks. The green tea mojito was insanely good!

While, it ultimately depends on the location and carrier,

"fast lane" / priority security lane also worked for my (non *G) partner when travelling on the same PNR in some european airport (LX, SN - GVA, BRU, FCO)
