Would this have worked?

With the recent business fare to Europe, I found this ticket (I know its dead now). I didn't try 3x on it, but the link shows what I did find: http://imgur.com/Wqi6HlN

Using milecalc.com, the AC flight is 9197 miles, and reading Aegean rules, AC business Z earns 200%

So my question is, could I have pretty much gotten a3*G in just the outbound flight, then credited the inbound flight to UA, and gotten an amazing deal?

Or could I have booked 3 of these and gotten 1K for about $3600 (after 3x and having United Club Card)?

Sorry, new to booking revenue tickets...

The UA Club Card and 3x don't count towards elite status. But, yes, the 9197 will double to nearly 20,000 points.

The 3x he's referring to is reducing the fare using F(rau)D.

Besides that, 1K requires a spend of $10,000 if you have a U.S. address (which the OP's profile indicates would be true).
