TG to AC at NRT connection
What is the minimum connection time changing from Thai Air to Air Canada at NRT? I had a 2 hr connection time that has now been changed to 1 hr 15 min by the airline. Is there a security checkpoint involved? If I miss the flight, is there an airport hotel pre-immigration because I do not have a visa for Japan?

TG to AC at NRT connection
From what I remember there is a specific line for connecting flights where you pass lthrough a security checkpoint. You should be able to make your connection.
If you are a Canadian citizen you will not need a visa to enter Japan.

You should check the NRT airport website for this information (minimum connecting time)
If the time is too tight, Contact your ticket provider for options.
There will be a security checkpoint for transfer passengers. It has never been too busy at NRT in my experience.

I don't know what the official MCT is for NRT but there's no reason for it to be in excess of 1 hour if connecting in the same terminal (which you are). I certainly wouldn't be concerned with 1h 15 at all, when I've done connections at NRT I never waited more than maybe 5-10 minutes for security. You don't go trough immigration, no worries there.

I did a few connections from the TG flight to ANA flights to the US.
Need to pass thru transit security (never had a long wait there), go to the departure level and find the gate or lounge.
It can be a 5-10 min walk if you arrive at opposite ends of the terminal, but otherwise quick. Anything above 1 hour should be really easy to do (assuming inbound is on time).

As others have said, 75 minutes should be enough time. If your flight has lots of connecting passengers (MNL comes to mind, not sure what TG flights are like), being towards the front of the plane to get to security first will save you time and anxiety. Having said that, I have seen passengers with tight connections pulled from the security line so that they won't miss their flight.
