Loungehopping possible?

Hi,

I will be traveling around the world with 2 friends next month.
They dont have any status, I have Star Gold.

Is it possible for example in HKG, to go the SQ Lounge with friend A and later with friend B to the TG Lounge?

thank you!

Yes, it is possible, actually I had done exactly that but both my wife and I were on J, but I don't think there is a difference.

You can hop with the same person, but can you hop with different guests?

You can, but that's a lot of work just to get in to the lounges. And the SQ lounge is pretty far from the TG and UA lounges in HKG. Unless you're flying SQ I'd skip that one.

What about 2 different guests but 2 lounges from the same airline?

Take one friend to the TG lounge and then the other to the UA lounge. They're much closer to each other than the SQ lounge.

It's a risky game, possibly fraud and certainly against the terms and conditions of your FFP which could lead to you being excluded from it loosing the accumulated miles on the way.

Would not risk it.

I've found that being honest and upfront with Airline Lounge personnel (as well as with other airline personnel) can only help your cause. A group of fellow travelers and I entered a *A lounge in the Mideast a couple of months ago, and our group was 1 person too large to legitimately enter using strict airline protocol. When the lounge control person pointed that out, we politely mentioned that we were travelling as a group, and would like our (newbie) group member to be able to join us to enjoy the lounge, we were all allowed to enter together. Being polite and honest never hurts!

I haven't seen or heard any T&C about you are only allowed in 1 lounge, and it will be difficult to restrict people can only use 1 lounge, as not all lounges are built with the same amenities even within the same airline in the same airport. The only rule is 1 guest only, so as long as you bring A guest to A lounge, B guest to B lounge, you are totally fine with it and totally within the game rule.

The only thing is I wouldn't attempt to bring both A and B guest into the same lounge.
