"Best" first class award from BKK?

What is general consensus on best allowable routing from BKK to NYC using 70,000 UA miles for someone that wants to experience longest flights with best product/lounge etc? Would it be a routing through Europe to connect from an Asia airline to LH, what you gurus recommend or please point me to current thread on this!

BKK - FRA on TG F
FRA - NYC on LH F

Also, try to get LH F on a 744 for the separate seat/bed, it's amazing

I second TG. We flew F LHR-BKK in the 744 and F BKK-CDG in the A380 in August and I still dream about the flights.

Oh, we flew UA F IAD-LHR (on the way) and it was fine

Agreed. And should be fairly available, especially close in.

Great ground service on the departure from BKK on Thai, including massage at the spa. A380 to FRA.

LH departure from FRA means access to FCT/FCL for the layover.

You can do better than 2x F routes. It just takes some creative routing/thinking.

That's great stuff, would you give a brief example?

MP is very generous in this regard I am learning!

BKK-HKG (TG F)
HKG-ZRH (LX J)
ZRH-FRA (LH J)
FRA-NYC (LH F)

maybe something like that?

Why would you take J on the longest segment while paying F prices?!

Agree it could be better to rearrange and go to more places but not where you take HKG-ZRH in J. HKG-FRA/MUC in F would be a good alternative since LX F do not release seats to other Star partners.

Agree, but make sure you get the TG 380 flight, not the 340.

A close second:

BKK-NRT TG F
NRT-JFK NH F

ex-BKK definately want to fly TG for the check-in, lounge and massage experience. NH seat and NRT lounge is not in the same as the 744 seat/bed and the FRA FCL/FCT but the catering and on-board service are world class.

What about:

BKK-NRT TG F
NRT-FRA NH F
FRA-JFK LH F

You're flying these F classes all from their hubs, and catering/service should be at their best from all 3!

Another option

BKK-NRT TG F on 380
NRT-ICN OZ F/C on 744/777
ICN-JFK OZ F on 777 with F suites

The ground experience for flying LH F in FRA is good, but the flight itself is average

+1

Did this recently and it was an amazing experience. The only other option I can think of, similar to this (along the lines of ORDnHKG's suggestion), is:

BKK-NRT TG F
NRT-ICN OZ F
ICN-FRA OZ F
FRA-JFK LH F

NH F will be on the new NH product. OZ F will be old F. So I might slightly prefer the NH option, but it's pretty close to a toss up.
