Complicated *A Itin with Baggage Question
I hope this is in the correct forum, with all respects to the moderators:
I am flying on UA on F ticket into SFO-FRA, and then J into IST on LH. Several days later, on the same PNR, I am flying J on TK to VCE.
With respect to the TK flight, according to my UA confirmation, I will be eligible for two free bags, each weighing 70 lbs (around 30 kg). However, according to the UA website, I will be eligible for three free bags as a gold card member. The Star Alliance website simply says that as a gold card holder, I can have an additional 20 kg (44 lbs).
The TK website says that international J class allowance is 30 kg. The website does not reference gold card status. It does say there is no limit to the number of pieces of baggage. The website noted that that they use the Most Significant Carrier Rule, which in this case appears to be UA, which says I can have three at 70 lbs.
So, what is my weight limit on my TK flight?
1. 30+20=50 kg per person? (Star Alliance Calculation)
2. Three bags, each weighing 70 lbs? (United Calculation; also the MSC)
3. Only 30 kg? (TK Calculation if they consider themselves the MSC)
One last question: How exacting is TK in their weighing of cabin handcarry and assessing extra weight fees for J passengers?
I very much appreciate your insights!

Since you'll be checking your bags at IST, you can expect to play by TK's rules for that flight. 30kg for J class + 20kg for *G (the TK Elite Card page on their website has the standard *G language for 1 extra piece or 20kg).
(MSC applies to each bag journey, that is each time you check a bag)
