Hi everyone. I've just registered but I've been checking & reading posts in this forum for a while.
I've been searching for an appropriate FFP to enroll in *A.. and here's my condition.
I'm a student currently studying abroad in the US, so I fly many transpacific flights. I usually look for the lowest prices to buy..
I believe I'd fly ANA, United & AC mainly in *A for transpacific flights, and United & US Airways in US (US Airways' goin' to merge with AA, I believe..)
Home airports are PVG & PIT.
I suppose I'd fly around 30k - 40k miles per year..
I think that MileagePlus could be a fit for me, but not quite sure. MileagePlus offers 100% for NH and UA, but needs more points in redemption.
I'd prefer to redeem my miles for tickets, and don't have many demands in Privileges.
thanks~

I was under the belief that MP actually had one of the best redemption rates across most airlines, and that while 30-40k a year wouldn't get you above silver, but it should get you 25% bonus miles when flying UA, AC and NH.

I read the sticky thread, which recommends anyone who flies less than 50k per year to go with Asiana, Turkish or Aegean. I found none of them with better redemption rates than MP. So I was really curious and open this thread. :P
Maybe most consider *G as their primary factor in choosing FFPs...

I'd probably got MP. You'll always get 100% credit, even if you're flying on AC's cheap tickets, known as Tango. Those tickets only credit 50% to other programs, but credit 100% to MP.
And if you fly UA, you will get free E+ either at T-24 (Silver) or earlier (Gold or higher).
