Using Status when not collecting

Got a question.

Lets say you earn *A Gold with A3, and then are flying a UA flight, and crediting that UA flight to UA, not A3. Can you still use flash the A3 gold card to get free checked bags, priority boarding and lounge access or do you have to be crediting those flights to A3?

Tends not to work for priority boarding. Your pass will scan for the boarding group due to your UA status

Should work for lounge access. Bag fees... Just watch that the agent doesn't apply your A3 number for mileage credit replacing your UA number
