Same Day Change on RTW - is it a reroute

Hi,

On a RTW (C) ticket:

1) If I make a change from PHX SFO JFK (with only a connection/transfer, not a stopover), to PHX EWR -

Is that considered a reroute or just a schedule change?

Does it make a difference if it is a same-day-change?

2) What should I expect if I was running late and called to make the above change on the phone - 2 hrs before the original flight?

thanks

Adding or deleting a stop is in and of itself a re-route, requiring a re-issue and service charge. Cities with multiple airports are no longer co-located, such that if you come into JFK and go out from EWR the ground transfer is considered one of the 16 allowed sectors of your RTW. Doesn't make any difference when you make the change. Sorry.

cheers,

Henry
