Missing some miles for G Status

Hello All
I am missing 2,701 miles to get to Gold ... before May 31 ... any idea ? i just took a flight that would have given me enough miles to cover those 2,701 but that was on a company that was supposed to join Star but hasn't joined yet (AV). ANy idea ? I wrote to DC Admin to ask for a comp UG ( you never know ! ) but got a lousy reponse from "Sameer" : as I was saying that BMI could have told us that the entrance of AV was delayed, here's what I got : "‎I've spoken to the relevant department and they have denied your request . Regarding the delay of AV when AV itself dint inform you that the entrance is being delayed , How will BMI inform you .
Please treat this as a final reply from our end ."

Of course, when asking "whose person did he talk to for this request", I never had any reply. Oh well.
If anyone has any idea, would be interesting to know. I understand 2,701 miles to go is a lot, so not surprised by the negative response, but any experience before ? even showing that you have many bookings (Long haul, business) to come ??
Thanks

Starting where and what's your budget?

You're basically going to have t buy a walk-up fare at this point, and getting it credited to BD and then having that gold status take effect before the 31st would be quite impressive. And with BD no longer having *A benefits after the end of the month I'm not sure what the value will be, unless you plan to convert it into BAEC Gold.

And I'm not surprised that BD isn't giving credit for AV flights. They aren't a partner and BD would never get paid for that. Plus, BD never announced earning on AV at any point that I'm aware of.
