Question Lounge Access question at ORD?

I'm a Star Gold flying UA FC from DCA to ORD to HKG.

I have a friend who will be flying AA/CX the same day from DCA to ORD to HKG. We both arrive ORD in the morning and will have a several hours to kill before my UA flight departs for HKG.

The CX flight leaves over two hours after mine so I am wondering if he will be allowed as my guest at the UA Intl. FC Lounge or the United Club in Terminal 1 before he heads to T5 for his CX departure later???

Does the guest of a FC passenger/Star Gold have to be flying a Star carrier same day to be a guest???

From the United website:

a. Guest must meet the same Star Alliance itinerary requirements as the member and access the designated lounge with the eligible member

The only way you can bring your guest in is unless you have a US/UA club membership, but it won't be IFL.

ORDnHKG, you might be the perfect person to answer this: Is there any arrival lounge in HKG for a Star Gold arriving in FC from ORD???

As you'll see from my OP, I'll have about two hours to kill after arriving in HKG before my friend arrives on the CX ORD-HKG flight.

No arrival lounge, and you will not have access to departure lounges without a
connecting BP

BTW, for ORD, you could buy a refundable ticket anywhere UA flies for your guest for
that evening, check him in, then bring him into the lounge with that BP.
After he leaves for his CX flight, he can cancel the flight.
