Status Match Question
Dear everybody,
I have Gold status with CX, but will not be travelling to HKG that often anymore. Instead I will be flying *A more often in the future due to my company´s travel policy. I am already a member of LH M&M, but don´t have any status with them. I politely asked them for a status match, but they declined. Do you know any *A airline that will match my CX Gold???
Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Hey,
You can try United Airlines, they will give you Premier Exec Gold. But to keep the status for a whole year, they might ask you to fly 15,000 miles within the next three months. So make sure you are up for it!
Also i think u might want to tell them you have planes to move to the US and that your company prefer travels with United. They might status match you with out a challenge.
Good luck

Sorry but this thread does not belong to CX as its not about Asiamiles but on how to get another FFP. But as the question relates to 'other' airline that is not specific, I'll move it over to the *A forum where others may help you.

I did a status match from AA Platinum (One World Sapphire) back in January, as having moved to PDX unfortunately find AA to be severely lacking. I don't really need to go to DFW to get from PDX to DCA....
UA comped me to *A Gold (UA Premier Gold) for 90 days during which I had to fly 22 qualifying segments or 17,500 qualifying miles on UA or CO metal or UA/CO flight #'s on United Express. I flew 18,500 and now have gold for the remainder of the year. Already flown around 20K miles and probably will be close to 70K by the end of the year.
Google "United Airlines Status Match" for details. Be aware UA is totally dysfunctional at the moment due to their integration with CO. I called yesterday and was on hold for 2:05 before giving up. This morning early I was relatively lucky, eventually getting through to a CSR after 'only' 52 minutes....
