SFO - CDG advice please

Trying to get from SFO to CDG in June. Would like to fly on a F award. Any recommendations on routing? So far it looks like SFO - FRA/MUC - CDG is my best option. Any other suggestions for a *A award. Seats seem to open up within a week of departure. Also, if you had a choice between UA F in a suite or LH F (SFO/FRA is 744 flatbed, SFO/MUC is A340-6 flatbed) which would you choose? Thanks in advance.

Don't forget Swiss. Though it is even harder to find inventory, it is a better product. And is it certain that LH isn't bringing the A380 back next summer?

I'd take LX>>LH>>UA if you are determined for first. I'd also consider some of the better biz products if finding seats in first is proving difficult.

Thanks for the LX, but did not consider it since since getting an F award seems so hard, I guess you never know. Also did not realize the A380 served SFO. Would definitely take that.

Don't forget FCL in FRA or MUC if flying F on LH.

You mean the first class terminal? I know it's primarily for pax originating from FRA/MUC, but I'd definitely go out of my way to check it out.

Oh good lord. Just checked and yes the A380 will be servicing the SFO - FRA route. I think we have a winner! I can't believe I didn't even check. I was just looking at the aircraft for the next week since I was trying to gauge award availability for close to departure date.

FCT in FRA, FCL in MUC. I always do intl outbound from FRA so I never really bother to try the FCT, I just use the FCL in pier B and you still get the limo/van service to pier A & C flights.
