How to continue...?
Hi everybody,
After almost 2 years on this forum I learned a lot of useful tips so that I was able to achieve some status with different arlines:
1. *G with A3 valid until 2014 to get lounge acces and ocasionally better baggage allowance
2. *S with LH valid until 2015
3. *S with CO valid until 2012
3. *S with AF valid until 2013 which I do not use anymore
My home airport are SLP,MEX,GDL at this moment and I fly to Europe like 3 times a year trying to stick with CO+LH which is usually also the cheapest option. Also for leisure travel I try to stick with *A only.
Where should I deposit my miles for future? I found some really good awards on CO and was surprised to see that taxes are not as high as on LH for example, so now my intention is to get at least silver in 2012 in CO/UA...maybe gold if I deposit all my miles in CO.
What is your opinion, would that be the best decision taking into account this backround information? I understand that *S with CO does not even give 2 bags for free anymore starting with 2012, not even option to select E+ seats....that is sad.
Any thoughts?
Thx

Have you given a look to the sticky thread at the top of the forum? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/star-...post-here.html
Also, AF is not a *A member.

sbm12 feel free to move this thread to the corresponding area.
However, I only wanted to know the inputs of other flyers, what would they do in my situation. I do not want to join new programs, just to decide which one to continue....
Thanks

How would I do that??
I'll repeat my suggestion to read the aforementioned thread. There is not a substantial difference between joining new and continuing on in the context you're suggesting and the overall advice is likely to be quite similar.
The UA status is better for redeeming points than A3 or LH in general. The A3 status is easier to get *G. LH M&M mostly sucks unless you pay high fares or like redeeming in LH/LX F.

Being a FT legend should come with some power
Rather than using 3 *A programs I would reduce to collect with just 2. Makes more sense IMHO because you will have more miles in one account which gives you more flexibility.
But I fully agree with sbm12: The sticky thread covers it all.

I agree that collecting miles in 3 programs is too much.
A3 was only to get the lounge acces with *G
LH is really expensive to buy reward tickets.
So UA/CO seems the way to continue now trying to make *G.
