*A Complicated Baggage interlining

Greeting everyone,

I have a flight booked for the following segments:

YUL-ZRH (LX F)
ZRH-FRA (LH C)
FRA-BKK (TG F)
BKK-HAN (TG C)

I'll have a couple of hours connection time between the flights. What degree of risk will I running with this degree of interlining? I've done interlining between two airlines on an itinerary but never three.

I'd prefer to fly TG from ZRH-BKK but nothing is available in F.

Thanks,

GPESO8

This should be just fine.

You are connecting in major hubs, which should be more thane equipped to handle bags traveling like this.

Risk is always relatively high when switching airlines on international itineraries, but transferring a suitcase isn't rocket science. I think the airlines can handle it.

If the bag tag isn't automatically printed (with the corresponding flights), the agent might have to write a manual bag tag (which raises the risk of mishandling substantially - although TG is one of the better *A carriers to deal with).

Thanks everyone. I guess I shouldn't be so paranoid.

I interlined between AI to UA from BOM to BKK then to NRT and then UA to HNL. It all got there between non star alliance carriers. I was terrified since AI was at the beginning, but it all got there! Enjoy the trip!

You'll be fine. If you were transferring AZ to AZ I would be more worried.

They've really turned around their operation recently tbh... AF-KLM's takeover did wonders for the company...

Thanks everyone! F opened up on TG for ZRH-BKK. I'll now be flying YUL-ZRH-BKK-HAN. It should be fine.
