yeah, i realized the no stop-over clause right after i posted it. just too lazy to fix it. 
thanks for those wonderful ideas though, we are entertaining different ideas as we speak. In fact, my wife even suggest we look another way, that is, using my AA miles (160k) total, to do something fun. Well, lots of thinking for sure... but one thing clear, it will be ORD-HKG, one way or the other.
