Beirut

Any recommendations on flying from the US West coast to Beirut? I'm a UA 1k and would like to use my SWUs. Routing via FRA is awful with a 9 hour layover. Perhaps LHR or CDG? Maybe even IST?

Did you try looking on the *A website - www.staralliance.com?
You put in your originating airport and destination and bring up various route options. BD flies to BEY from LHR. So you can fly LAX/SFO-LHR and onward.
You can also take TK from LAX via IST. But you can't use SWUs on Turkish.

You'd presumably want to fly UA as far as possible, so SFO or LAX to LHR, connecting to BD, is probably your best bet if you want to avoid FRA.
