not sure about the best product but remember you cannot do cash and miles for LH F and there is a 10,000 mile supplement...I guess if the answer is that LH is better you need to consider is it that much better?

Agree with previous poster. LH F is not that special and certainly not worth extra 10K miles. However, you seem to be presenting two very different destinations - is there an onward connection planned to somewhere else that you haven't mentioned? I'd look at the whole trip and see what's best overall. If you need F because of onward internal US flights then that's a choice you need to make but otherwise, if you decide LH offers better connections, I would be inclined to select the C cabin.

IMO opinion, LH is a better product in terms of lounges, service and food, coupled with the opportunity to use the F terminal and get limo to plane on LH at FRA.
If you're a solo traveller, the LH346 (with its single F window seats) to MCO is a good option.
I haven't taken the new UA F, only the old one, and it was a very long way from being special. LH is much better. Can't comment on the new UA F.
Decision might come down to how many miles you have spare....

Strictly talking about on board product, I think a high majority of people here would agree that LH has a better F product. According to United.com, only 1/4 LHR-IAD flights has the new F product.
Depending on routing, price, times, etc. (which OP has not mentioned) UA might have advantages, but without more information LH is the way to go.

UA F is just about as bad as it gets for *A F. Perhaps MS F is worse...I wouldn't know as I'm not likely to fly on a 'dry' airline in F.
LH F is a solid, but somewhat dated product with fantastic ground services in FRA and MUC.
I would opt for LH.

They both have their pluses and minuses. As always, it depends what the OP values. LH has superior food, wine and service for sure. But, LH gives you a choice of soup or salad. On UA, those are two different and included courses. LH desserts can be "creative" but also boring (Friday was a piece of chocolate mousse cake--yawn) but UA has the sundaes. On the other hand, for me (don't know about the OP), I'll trade the caviar service for a sundae any day!
UA's new suites are more private and wider than LH's standard/older seats. Both provide nice blankets and pillows, although two pillows with UA and one with LH. My biggest LH complaint/UA praise is cabin temperature. Without exception, to me, LH cabins are too hot and make sleeping difficult, and their aircraft have no fresh air nozzles. UA cabins are fine but all seats have fresh air nozzles and in FC have two if not three per seat.
If sleep is important, the wider UA seat with the more comfortable cabin wins with no doubt. If food and wine and service are important for the flight, then hands down to LH.
