Stupid Question about baggage

Hi all

Apologies in advance - I know this is one thick question, and I believe i know the answer already. However, I'm travelling in TG F (FRA-BKK) in a couple of months time on a reward flight. The TG F part is from FRA, and I have an initial leg from LHR-FRA in J. TG luggage allowance is 40kg but the LHR-FRA flight has only 2 booking classes and so an allowance of 30kg. I presume that the class I've paid C+M for has nothing to do with it, and so my allowance for the whole trip is effectively 30kg?

I'm doing the same trip in reverse on the inbound. I'm guessing that if I'm ticketed through that I'm likely to get a 40kg allowance, as the bags will just be passed through?

I realise this Q is probably dosy, but I've just not actually flown mixed classes on an award before.

Cheers

Essentially depends on the operating carrier but it is highly likely you will get the ful 40KG, as per this discussion:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/bmi-d...edemption.html

A question to your manservant (or similar as you're travelling F... :P) - do you really need that extra 10KGs - Especially that, if your programs tags are correct in your profile, you are also *G so get a free extra 20KG as well, taking it up to either 50/60KGs.

Hi littlevoices

Sorry - I hadn't seen that thread. Thankyou ^

Sadly I won't be *G by the time I fly, so it's just whatever I can get on board. My manservant on this occasion will be my new wife, as it's our honeymoon trip so all luggage allowance gratefully received....

If I understand the other thread, it seems that the answer is a definite maybe.... Time to get on the phone to LH I think

As this thread essentially has little or nothing to do with bmi or Diamond Club, we'll move this thread to a more suitable home - the *A forum.

Sorry GC - was just because it was a reward flight booked through DC, and therefore was unsure about whether the fact that BD charged me F C+M for the whole trip had an impact. Feeling suitably chastised.
