It is, if you have an hour to spare to put an itinerary together and choose flights before it condescends to tell you the base fare.

It takes about two minutes to make an itinerary, and before choosing specific flights will give you the (basic) rate information. And since the fare is dependent on miles, class and origin there is no single answer.

Just take a few minutes to get a quote for your specific route ;)

When I worked as a travel agent I sold a lot of these tickets - the prices are great and they work with great flexibility.

It does mean that you need to know they are available and that you can do them, it all comes down to the ability of the person making the booking

Fares are not so great any more...... and sometimes there seems to be quite limited seats available on some flights, making them a little less flexible.
But it can be a good deal, and is now quite easy to book via the *A website.
