Hi everyone,
I am Star Silver with Miles&more programm and will be travelling with Continental on my TATL segment and Lufthansa on my intra european flight.
I know for sure that Continental will not charge my second checked bag, but I am not that sure about Lufthansa. Last time on my way back although it was an TATL flight starting with Lufthansa they almost did not accept the second bag. As far as I know 2bags of max 23 kg are accepted by both airlines on TATL flights.

Since you have status with M&M, it shouldn't be a problem (2 pieces if you have everything in one booking and 40 kg otherwise):
