Question A little help for *A registration

Hello,

Although newly registered, i have been a reader of the forum for a while now, and would like a little help to assist in finding the most adequate FF program with *A.

Currently have Gold with Flying Blue, but i won't keep it this year, and Gold with AA. There is currently no *A airline from my usual airport. I am considering moving to either BKK (with frequent flights in a zone from Korea to Australia, plus at least one roundtrip to Europe a year, in C for all trips over a handful of hours, eco for the rest) or MGA (with frequents trips in Central America and the Caribbean in eco, at least one roundtrip to Europe a year). I am still pondering my options, but will start flying with *A partners soon, and would like to start accumulating miles on the best suited program.

For the Central American region, there is two unknowns: will Avianca-Taca and Copa join *A? I would certainly keep my AA membership, as it is pretty convenient in the Caribbean.

In Asia, it seems that Thai Airways is not the best-rewarding program. BMI could be an option, but they don't fly to BKK... Asiana imposes to go to Seoul every time. That let only SIA...

I would mainly interest in upgrades and lounge access. Can anyone help?

Cheers

Try SAS Eurobonus.

Easy to reach Gold status when living outside of Scandinavia and new rewards possibilities are on their way (normally from today..., check www.flysas.com later today!)

Only if you live in Europe or Africa. North and South America, Asia, and Australia are all at the high end - much higher than virtually any other *A airline.

Hi guys,

Thanks for your help. It would indeed be a good option, but only if i move to Central America. As underlined by mahasamatman, does not work for asia, the threshold is pretty high

Any other suggestion?

If you're just looking for *G (primarily for lounge access), check out AC. It's only 35K EQM to Gold status.

Oh, and since I forgot last time, Welcome to FT, Gaetanoz!
