SHA to PVG
I'm looking at making the following route:
PEK-SHA/PVG-FRA
The reason for taking this route is to allow me to arrive in FRA in the morning and also see some of Shanghai within the definition of a transit - I'm not allowed a stopover.
If I arrive in SHA around lunchtime and depart PVG near midnight, does anyone know of any way / any services to deal with luggage? I'd like to avoid travelling with my suitcase all day if possible but don't really want to travell all the way from the city centre to PVG to drop of luggage and then go back again.

Priceline?
Get a cheap hotel in the city, stash your bags for the day, have a place to hangout, go back around 8'ish, shower/freshen up and head for the airport.

I've found nice hotels in cities I visit will store bags (a tip on both ends can help) even if you aren't a guest. You could make use of one of the hotel's services (restaurant, etc.). They tag your bags as a "city guest" and store them in the baggage room.
Also there is usually one morning flight PEK-PVG (7:30 or 8:00 am) and if you take that you may be able to check your bags through. There are 2-3 afternoon flights also to PVG but then you won't have that much time in Shanghai.

There have been talks that SHA will open check in counters for PVG flights in the near future. Unfortunately no timeframe has been given. One of the proposed plans was to attach a cargo car to the existing Metro Line 2 which will connect the 2 airports or simply, fingers crossed, the Maglev line will be extended to SHA.
