Intra-Europe Widebody routes?

I'd like a list of Intra-Europe Widebody routes with Star Alliance.

Here's a few that I heard about - please add if you know of more routes!

SQ
MXP-BCN (B777)

TK
LHR-IST (A330)

UA:
LHR-BRU (B777)

There are no traffic rights on SQ MXP-BCN.

Yup, and it's too bad! I put it in italic above.

Now that all LH A300s are gone, regular intra-Europe widebody ops are getting really rare...

Not *A, but do BA still operate B767 LHR-FRA?

Can't think of a single *A widebody operating intra-Europe, except of course for the "Europe" MENA destinations like TLV. It might be interesting to see if you can spot a BD A330 wandering around forlornly over the next few months, though.

BA did indeed operate a 767 as of late 07 when I went LHR-FRA, which I appreciated greatly from my unconverted front-row-of-Y perspective.

BA still operate the 767 to LCA, DME and ATH. CY operate the A330 between LHR and LCA. Not *A but they are the only routes I can think of.

I can't come up with regular widebody flights in Europe but TK is pretty "good" about sending larger planes to destinations with demand. TK had A330/A340 to DUS a couple of times and once even a B777!

Not really worth to be put on the list though! Interesting topic though ^

BA does indeed run 767s to Frankfurt, and they used to (may still) run a daily flight to/from DUS on the 767.

Not really Europe, but RJ operates A310s on their AMM-LHR route.

I do recall seeing a KLM A330 parked at a Heathrow gate, but that may have been a special flight.

not *A, but LAN operates a widebody (A340) between FRA and MAD ... this flight is sold on their website starting at 80€ return. not a bad deal at all and a nice aircraft.

OT question...I'm going to be on that flight originating in SCL and going all the way to FRA. I'm assuming that everyone has to get off and clear the border in MAD, thus making the MAD-FRA sector a schengen arrival?

I haven't been on that flight but as far as I know the LAN flight departs at a non-schengen gate for FRA-MAD. Hence I would assume that you clear immigration in FRA and not MAD on the way back.

Interesting...If LAN sells seats on the MAD-FRA route, it would seem that someone boarding in MAD would have to clear passport control in FRA?

I have been on a Swiss A340 LHR-ZRH, but I think that was a substitution...pretty comfortable anyway...

Oh, and quite often LH flies FRA-MUC or vv on widebodies if they need to move aircraft around.
