I purchased EB for myself, but not my wife on the companion ticket. Will I get checked in early and just be able to check her in 24 hrs before? She'll just be taking a middle seat next to me so I doubt anyone will care if I'm "saving" a seat... Don't really see the point in buying two EB. Shed some light on this tactic please. (bash me)
Sit in both seats (armrest up, obviously) and pretend you bought two tickets for yourself.

EB bought 13 days in advance.

SNA->LAS departing 16:40 hours: A45

Change planes

LAS->MDW departing 19:15 hours: A37

Most likely a wasted purchase but I was not sure if I was going to be around a computer at T-24. Of course I was *ugh*

SFO-LAS on 1/5/2016: A28

Purchased tickets and EBCI 22 days in advance. First time buying EBCI and given that it's CES season I'm pleasantly surprised that I'm <A30

I think another variable with EBCI is how 'savvy' the flyers are...meaning more leisure travelers who haven't flown or don't fly WN as often may say to themselves, 'oh, I'll just wait for T-24 & save the 12 bucks' as opposed to flights with a lot of business travelers who want specific seats & know its importance

Flew from BWI-MBJ roundtrip a month ago, purchased EBCI both ways at time of booking (used RR points for the flights)
Going was A-17! On the return, A-27

BWI-MSY in July, A-22
MSY-BWI return, A-33

How close to your flight did you purchase EBCI? What kind of fares were you on?

We flew MCO - MSY 1/2 both on Wanna Get Away fares, EBCI added at time of purchase three or four months prior - A29 & A30. Scored exit row with empty seat.

Returned (after 3 week cruise) 1/24 wanna get away & award flight, EBCI added at time of purchase about 2 months prior - A30 & A31. Snagged LUV seat.
