Throw another celeb in the mix...
Don't know if anyone here listens to good old 80's rap, I really didn't. But there are a few that stood out... remember Tone Loc - "Wild Thing", "Funky Cold Medina"? I wound up sitting between him and his business associate on a BUR-LAS flight. It was in January 2004 for the Consumer Electronics Show. Didn't really recognize him till I asked if the middle seat was avail (full flight, due to CES). Those who have heard his music know he has a deep voice, and it was a dead giveaway.
Sigh... I Love the 80's

Yesterday, Bradley Cooper, from the first couple of season's of Alias was on my flight from MSY to BHM. Wonder what he's doing in this neck of the woods?
While Cooper isn't a huge star, I was surprised that he flew Southwest with his handlers and everything - but I think that Southwest is the only direct flight option, other than private jet.

Laura Bush
This was a few years ago, when President Bush was Governor, Laura Bush was on the late afternoon Dallas-Austin flight. We happened to be on the same flight on several occasions - very classy person, no entourage, just a security person. And yes, she did pre-board.
A captain friend had Janet Reno on a flight from San Antonio to Dallas. She mad a point to say hi to the pilots. As this was about a week after the Waco Branch Davidian Inferno, the captain made a PA to point out the site as they flew over it. She pointedly ignored the captain when she deplaned.

Saw Smokey Robinson
I saw Smokey Robinson on an Alaska Airlines flight from LA to Seattle a few years ago and he autographed my ticket! My 20 year old son recognized him before I did and I think Smokey Robinson felt good that someone so young knew who he was.

sorry to revive an old thread ...
Watched a repeat of "Airline" the other day and during one of the usual gate blowups, I saw the multi-millionaire poker guru Howard Lederer (in the background) no doubt on a flight to LAS. Would have thought these flashy players would be hooked up in F on another carrier.
I wonder if he would have been carrying his buy-in for some big tournament on him? Bet he never forgets his carry-on.

Sacramento Kings coach
My wife and I saw Sacramento Kings coach Rick Adelman checking in yesterday afternoon at SMF. Not sure what flight he was catching as we hustled off to our SMF to PHX. (Running late as usual)
