I'm wondering whether I should buy some LUV if it goes down to $7.37.

The way things are going you might not have too long to wait....
Personally, I dont want any LUV stock at any price or at
least until I see management get it together.

I would be concerned about Q1 2013 and later, as those passengers with expiring companion passes abandon WN. I know that's what I will be doing.

My guess is you'll see it even earlier than Q1 2013. If RR2.0 is
any indication of managerial expertise at SWA, you'll see more
drama when Airtran and SWA merge. BTW, I am right after
you Q1/2013 when my companion pass expires also.

WN posts Q3 loss

Unfortunately, this is very bad news. WN loss $140 millions dollars in 3rd Quarters.

They didn't really lose money but rather their hedges aren't worth as much.

Exactly. Of the $393 million negative impact of the hedges, WN said today that over $300 million of that "loss" has been restored a mere 20 days later, as the hedges were apparently at their low on 9/30/11 but have largely recovered as of 10/20/11.

If people want to crow how smart WN is when recording gains from fuel hedges, they have to accept potential for losses from fuel hedges, be they directly realized losses or mark-to-market losses.

It's been discussed before.

Besides, I think they should have charges all checked bags fees. Because they are losing the money due to fuel costs. There wil be no longer free checked bags fees. Eliminated them immediately! I think they should have charges 1st & 2nd checked bags fees.

Also, must pay $2 fees at curbside check-in and must pay $5 for kiosks check-in fees, too.
