Why did I get 3.5 credits for a flight?
I got a targeted offer (that's discrimination I think, the same as when President Clinton called them "targeted tax cuts")...
I got a targeted offer for 3 credits for each one way trip earlier this summer. Afterwards, I got 3 credits for each one way. I thought that I was not entited to a 0.5 credit for online booking. Technically, it's not a 0.5 credit bonus but rather 1.5 credits for each one way booked online.
Recently, I got 3.5 credits twice for 2 one ways. Why? Are they giving 0.5 credit for online booking in addition to triple credit?

3.5 Credits = Triple & Double Credit
I also received 3.5 credit for some recent flights. I received the Triple credit promotion/notification a few months ago. I believe the additional .5 credit is for the current VISA promotion (double credit). I don't know how they figured that Triple Credit + Double Credit = 3.5.
On 2 recent flights, I paid one using AMEX (received 3 credits) and the other using a VISA (received 3.5 credits). Both flights were booked online.

Quite Simple
The reason you got 3.5 credits for your flight is that you booked through
SWABIZ for the flight which gives you an extra .5 credit for each segment
over the standard 1.5 through Southwest.com. Then on top of that you
got the bonus of 1.5 credits for the promo which for most people would
show up as threee credits booked through Southwest.com but instead you
got 3.5 because of SWABIZ.

I think PBAudit got it corret. It was probably because you paid with a Visa. Unfortunately the Visa deal only works on www.southwest.com, not www.swabiz.com so you won't be able to get 4 credits.
