Basic Fare Using Points for Someone Else Question
When I fly, I book BASIC fare using points. If the price goes down, I cancel and and get the points and fees back.
What if I book for my son and he is flying by himself. I assume it will work the same way. And I will get my points and the $5.60 fees back if I cancel when the price goes down.
I know he won't get the SW credit card benefits like choose seat at 48hrs that I would get. But them are the breaks for a free flight!

Does not matter who is making the reservation or who is flying.
All point bookings can be cancelled and points go back.
If you are foolish enough to book RT, and the outboound goes down by points and the return goes up by points, touch luck.

Thanks I figured as much. Just wanted confirmation. And yes I always book one ways.
