And again ($450), only two weeks later. I'd say, "Southwest and Costco, get a room," but now comes Alaska with the same deal. (Per Costo.com.)

If I use a Freedom card for this purchase, will it qualify for the 3Q bonus points (total of 5 points per dollar spent)? Or is there an exclusion for gift card purchases?

While there is always the usual caveat about "cash" items like advances and casino chips being excluded, every GC I bought at Costco or BJs is coded no differently than purchases at those establishments so I don't **assume** it will be a factor. But you know what Felix says about the word assume...
