TSA Support in OAK and SEA

Does anyone have any feedback concerning the TSA support, i.e., delays, at these airports in light of the gov't shutdown?

No issues at SEA when I was there on Wednesday 1/9 at 3p. I have Clear but the lines at checkpoint 4 (TSA Pre only) looked reasonable. Maybe <10 minutes.

No problems at OAK (1/11/2019), and the TSA PreCheck was open at Terminal 2.

Not sure multiple threads on this are useful. Also, best to remember that yesterday was the first pay period where the shutdown has actually affected income, e.g., DHS employees were not paid. That is likely to vastly change the equation going forward, particularly where the local economy has job demand.

What no one ever seems to report is that all federal workers will be paid (eventually) for all time furloughed, essentially it is paid vacation and taxpayers will pay twice for the labor they provide. What a racket.

when your mortgage is due, your kid is sick and needs meds, your credit card/electricity/insurance bills are due, getting paid at some undefined date in the future helps not at all.

Who is covering the significant interest charges for the living expenses of furloughed employees put on credit cards, payday loans? What happens when they max out their credit cards, payday loan limit?

Food trucks, restaurants and related small businesses that depend on furloughed workers to survive?

Racket? Excuse me, but this thread was about TSA workers. They are not furloughed AND not being paid. This is anything but a "paid vacation" for them!

I've been in SJC/ONT/SFO/OAK/PDX/SAN since the shutdown, and while I have CLEAR and PreCheck I can't say I've seen any difference, even today when I was in the "Fake-PreCheck Annex" of SAN T-1 (gates 1/1A/2).
