Medical issue and companion pass
I have a question,
If I have the pass for all of 2016 and 2017 but end up getting some type of medical issue and doesn't allow me to travel for 2016 or even if my wife (which will be my companion for flights) gets some medical issue that won't let her to travel in 2016. Can I postpone my pass for 2017 and 2018?

No. You cannot postpone your companion pass. You are just out of luck.

The only approved deferral of a Companion Pass was when I was deployed to Bahrain for a year and just earn the CP before leaving. A call to the 214 Customer Service number and a brief explanation got me an exception for military service. Once I came home, it was reinstated for the year.
