Targeted RR Point "Auction" - LAS Package
Curious as to how many others received this emailed offer earlier today.
The Aria is very nice; great rooms. Zarkana is a good show, although the new MJ-One at Mandalay Bay is much better. Yes I'm a regular, and no I'm not interested in the deal (why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?).
The "bid" vs. "buy with RR points option" is intriguing. One of you that's way more patient than I and can work the numbers might be able to tell us if 150K points is a value, rip-off, or somewhere in the middle.
Excuse the sloppy copy-n-paste:

Sure. Just like every other program's offerings of merchandise or special packages. Clearing points off the books cheaply is profitable, both in reality and on the books.
