Birmingham ?
I am staying at the Birmingham Sheraton next week (I know, it has bad reviews, but I am stuck!). Anyway, is there anywhere within walking distance such as: decent restaurant (TGIF type), stores to buy wine/beer, pizza places? I can't find much on mapquest other than a family supermarket, any suggestions? I have three nights & no car.

OK, I'm 7 months late to the game here.
Is the Sheraton the hotel across from the BJCC?
I've eaten at the restaurant in the Tutwiler (Hampton Inn branded refurbished antique property) and liked it. I've also found the bar there to be lively - although that may have just been me and my kids getting drunk.
