anything decent in Myrtle Beach?

I've heard Myrtle is particularly disgusting in terms of food. Lots of Red Lobster type places down there.

Any suggestions for places that are halfway decent?

Umberto's in Barefoot Landing. Atmosphere is OK, food is FANTASTIC. Check out their website: www.umbertos.us

(no, I am not affiliated in any way, I just like good food.)

Two of my favorites, neither of which are in Myrtle Beach proper, but within a reasonable driving distance:

Haley's in Calabash, NC
Twin Lakes Seafood in Sunset Beach, NC

Bone Fish Grill, which is part of a small chain, is pretty good. They have two locations in Myrtle beach.

Anything in the Divine Dining group - I've been to all of them (except CityBar)and have not had a bad experience.

Divine Fish House and River City are my personal favorites.

Also, try Gulfstream Cafe down in Garden City Beach - outstanding restaurant and, as advertised, a great sunset. http://www.newyorkprime.com/gulfstream/gulf-intro.html

This was the only one in the group recommended in this thread that we were able to get to, but it was quite good. Good recommendation!
