Murrells Inlet has a lot of good seafood places, though I've forgotten all their names, unfortunately. But if you drive down 17 from Myrtle Beach, and follow it into Murrells, the road will hug the inlet, and you'll see a row of restaurants to the left with huge piles of oyster shells (6 feet tall or more) next to them. If people are eating that many oysters there, they have to be at least decent.

A second on the Murrells Inlet recommendation. Historically this has been THE place to eat seafood on the Grand Strand, used to be very podunk but it has grown up quite a bit. One of the best entrees I've had in the past few years was the shrimp and grits at Bovines -- I guess it helps if you like grits though.
Bovines is one of the first places on the left as you enter M. Inlet from the north. They've also put in a nice walk along the marsh and the views at dusk are pretty.
Plenty of other good places to eat there. My opinion is that the best quality seafood is not at the buffets.
