TPA

In a recent survey of favorite airports TPA
was not mentioned. I beleive this has to be a gross mistake, as in my opinion TPA is the best airport bar none in the country. No
hasseling by security in dropping off. Park
in the short term parking. elevator to the proper floor. ramps and monorail to your
boarding pod. What a great experience.

I concur. Even with the recent security mayhem, I can still get from long-term parking to boarding area in less than 10 minutes (up from 4-5 minutes). Truly a feat in design and convenience.

Perhaps the lack of being listed is due to all of the landside and airside construction. TPA will look great when the work is done.

Was through there recently and found security to be extra picky. Expect to be hassled about anything.

I agree. I've been there a few times over the past few months, and they seem to really like to wander through my stuff.

I agree - I've flown in and out of most mid-sized airports in the US at one point or another, and I have always liked TPA. Easy airport to use, reasonably nice amenities, general peaceful and free of the mobs one sees at MCO, easy to pickup/return a rental car (other than Hertz!), and usually not a traffic problem coming/going from the nearby highways. (When there has been traffic, I've been able to find a way around it to make it to my flight in plenty of time.)
