Easter Break
I'm in DC from the UK at the end of March. I'd like to get a couple of weeks with wife and 6yr old somewhere warm and relaxing with a childrens club or similar.
Florida seems the obvious choice and I'm presuming that I can get packages from DC as we're flying back from there to the UK.
Is that a better bet than getting flights and hotels separately (Starwood Plat, HH Gold)?
Any suggestions as to hotels / places?

Can you be a bit more specific?
Do you want theme park or beach? A package deal might be good but then again depending on where you're going doing it yourself would work too.

A couple of years ago, friends from California spent a week at Club Med Sandpiper with their 9-year old daughter and enjoyed it very much (this Club Med is very much a family-oriented resort, not a singles facility).
Thery were out for three weeks and spent the middle week at the club, visiting the Orlando atractions before and South Florida afterwards.

I think we'd better allow 4 or 5 days theme parks or life would become untenable. The rest of the time would ideally be slump near beach style, hence the kids club so that I can cover my face with a newspaper and pretend to read uninterrupted.
