Universal Studios

Just returned on Saturday. Spent three days at US and Land of Adventure. It was OK but much prefer the Disney Parks. Stayed at the Buena Vista Suites (not a favorable experience) and Doubletree Castle Hotel (fantastic). Also went to Fort Meyers visiting family. Weather was unbelievably hot and rained on schedule every day. But still family had a good time.

If you want the best "theme park" experience ever, try staying at one of the Unviersal Studios on site hotels, currently the Hard Rock Hotel and the Portofino Bay Hotel.

When staying onsite you get priority access to most of the rides and attractions (a couple of minor exceptions for kids rides) which will mean a 15 minute or less wait for all the rides. Going to a theme park and not waiting in line is an experience like nothing else

The best time we had at Universal is the time we got the VIP tour. This was before they were offered to the public. We got to go in ahead of everyone else. We also got a tour of the studios. It was an very memorable visit. It was great walking past everyone waiting in line. We have gone enough times that we are experts at hiting the rides before the lines form.
