JAX weekend stay
I'm going to JAX for a football game, arriving very late Friday and returning early Monday afternoon. I will have a car and am staying near the airport.
I have plans to visit the destroyer on the waterfront downtown, and of course will go to the game Sunday.
I am looking for a sports bar/restaurant (preferably not a national chain) for Saturday night college football with some hearty food and a lively atmosphere. I would also like to hear about any casual seafood places in the area for Sunday night.
I would grateful for any suggestions.

The hotels near the airport are far afield of the city sadly.
If you are willing to travel a bit, Jacksonville beach has some great seafood places and sports bars. Salt Life is iconic for Florida and seafood. Sneakers, Brix,Lynches, and a bunch of others in the area. Brix doesnt have food though. Hoptingers is another option with food. But I think a chain?
Also a great casual seafood place on Intracoastal waterway is docksideseafoodrestaurant.com. Get there early. A line forms but moves quick.
If you arent tailgating, Intuition Ale works is a nice pregame option, though will be crowded.
