Miami Layover Suggestions
Not sure if this is the right sub-forum, but I’m gonna post anyway.
I have a 3.5 hour layover in Miami in a few weeks, and I was wanting to get escape the airport for a bit and get dinner during my wait. Does anyone have suggestions for a place nearby MIA airport that would both give me a good taste of Miami while also not be a tourist trap?

A short window. I assume you have precheck, right? Given your short window and your nearness to Calle Ocho, I would suggest a Cuban Restaurant.
The classic cuban restaurant is Versailles, which is fairly close by - 10 minute car ride. Yes, touristy. but locals go there as well, and a Miami classic.
La Carreta is nearby too, tasty food.
Going too far afield risks getting caught in horrible Miami traffic.
