Swimming During Layover at MCO

All,

Tomorrow I have a 4.5-hour layover at MCO en route to BOG. I'm wondering if its possible to pay to use their pool at Hyatt Regency inside the airport. Or must I purchase a day room? I'm curious if anyone has any experience with this.

I'm triathlon training and just try keep schedule without getting very early tomorrow morning to get my swimming in. If no one has any idea, swimming first thing is probably what I'll end up doing.

There's a good chance nobody here will have had that specific experience, if I were you I would just call and ask. That way you can also verify that the pool is available and not closed for maintenance or something.

Agreed and I will do this. I asked here first because I fuigured flyertalk members might be more sympathetic/thoughtful of my training needs than a busy receptionist at an airport hotel. =p

You better ask about the size - the hotels near the airport I have stayed at have - oversized bathtubs, to be kind. Three kicks per lap!

While that might be true, it really is immaterial. The only opinion that counts is the one of the person with the power to give you what you want.

Also, LowlyDLsilver raises a good point. The pool at the Hyatt MCO looks to be quite small. Their website describes it as a "Roman-style splash pool". Picture and info:

Zooming in with Google maps and guesstimating the size of the cars - that pool is about 40 feet x 30 feet, tops. Not worth the Phone call.

I've stayed there a few times, and you need a card key to access the guest elevators. As others have said, the pool is quite small, and a tranquil setting.
