MIA continues to dazzle
Miami International continues to win the hearts and minds of
customers.
I like the "hell on earth" and "all the computers were down" comments.
The occasional "people were fainting" comments are particularly endearing.

"Never again"
"marshalled around by nasty airport employees who had no problem screaming at people "
"I simply do not possess the vocabulary to properly articulate how bad Miami Airport is"
"Exhausted elderly and crying babies"
Riddle me this: how does such a blatantly inefficient, obnoxious place
continue without any reform, in an era where reform is supposed to abound?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Yeah, there's a reason that FLL has tripled in size in the last 15 years. Even people in Dade drive north to usr FLL for domestic flights.
When I lived in South Florida, I used MIA only for international flights. A lot of people do. You grit your teeth and head for the airport when you leave, and when you come back, you drop an Advil on the plane before landing and get prepared to deal with ICE. There is nothing good about that airport.

The answer to your question, yandosan, is because no one cares.
I am grateful to no longer have to use MIA.

As this doesn't really apply to Travel Safety/Security, I'll move this thread over to the Flyertalk Florida regional forum.
Thanks!

FLL parking is a mess. How they screwed up a brand new parking structure is beyond me. They made the one surrounded by 3 terminals short and the one near only one less used terminal is huge.
Having to run a tram that was obviously not originally planned only shows how badly they screwed up.

Florida is good at that. Remember this is the state that became the
laughing stock of the world in 2000 with their hanging chads and then
botched the election count, beyond belief, again in 2012

I'd take MIA over FLL any day. At work I refuse to use FLL even though my office is one mile away. At least the SAs when barked at by TSA step it up. At FLL Grandma Kettle goes to pieces. Not to mention more direct flights out of MIA and enough bathrooms you are not standing in line to use the loo (and for me an AC). And anyone traveling International a few times a year or more should seriously consider GE.

My gripes with MIA is that baggage takes over 1/2 an hour to come out. This was on AA and DL (domestic). That and United's ticket counter is a mess. The UA employees are **beyond** rude, too . FLL may not be great, but I have no issues with it.
