Best romantic restaurant Charlotte, NC

Looking for a really good and romantic restaurant in Charlotte OR concord NC to take a very special person to me on a date. I looked a bit on tripadvisor but rather trust my good Flyertalk friends to make a good recommendation.

What does this special person like? What type of restaurant are their favorite places now?

And, are you trying more to impress or create a magical moment?

I would suggest you look at the website of Passion8 Bistro www.passion8Bistro.com to see if that might interest you - just over the Charlotte, North Carolina border into South Carolina, it is very small and intimate, with amazing food and impeccable service. My manager took us there for dinner last week (we're a department of four) and it was a wonderful experience. It would qualify as both to impress and create a magical moment.

I don't know what kind of food you like, but I'm a big fan of the Fig Tree on 7th in Elizabeth. It's in an old house and the food is very good. I also think it's romantic.

I second Fig Tree in Elizabeth, or the McNinch House uptown.

Villa Antonio on South Blvd is as good as it gets.
The waiters treat you like gold & take your experience very seriously.
There's often strolling violinists, and the meal is never rushed.

I would agree re: the McNinch house.

Uptown Charlotte is very nice (and Lake Norman is as well), and the close-in neighborhoods such as Dilworth (and SouthPark) are very attractive. I'd pick a restaurant in one of those locations, for aesthetic appeal.
